David De Gea is reportedly still weighing his options despite receiving a fairly decent deal from Inter, weeks after leaving Manchester United.

The 32-year-old is hunting for a new club after his contract at Old Trafford expired on June 30.

So far, he has been linked with several clubs, including some in the Saudi Arabia Pro League.

With Andre Onana now a Manchester United player, Inter were keen on seeing De Gea go in the opposite direction, according to Metro.co.uk.

But De Gea reportedly turned down the chance to move to Inter as he continues to explore his options.

Part of the reason he turned down the Inter deal was because the Nerazzuri reportedly offered him a salary of €5m (£4.3m) net.

This is lower than the salary De Gea is expecting, which stands in the region of €10 million (£8.7m) after tax, which would amount to £167,000 per week, as per Football365.

What next for De Gea?

Inter are not keen on offering De Gea that sort of wage, and they will reportedly explore other options.

This leaves De Gea to continue exploring other options, and the publication further reports that the goalie is keen on a return to Spain.

Atletico Madrid, De Gea’s former club, is a plausible destination, but the Spanish giants would first need to sort out Jan Oblak’s future.

However, if De Gea is keen on getting a huge contract, then Saudi Arabia remains his best bet.

Sports Brief also reported on why Andre Onana opted for the number 24 shirt at Manchester United, despite the Number 1 being unclaimed.

It was revealed that the former Samuel Eto'o Academy star has used the number throughout his professional career to reference his date of birth, April 2.

He attempted to swap it for number 1 once, in the 2017/18 season at Ajax. It was disastrous: the team lost the league title and got knocked out of all cup competitions early.
